Schoolhouse Partners publishes directory of nonprofit operating grants

Published: November 22, 2011

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Schoolhouse Partners LLC, based in the Purdue Research Park, has published the 2011 resource of operating grants for nonprofit organizations.

The fifth edition of Operating Grants for Nonprofit Organizations has information on funding programs that can partially or completely support operating expenses for nonprofit organizations.

Louis S. Schafer, Schoolhouse Partners' editorial director, said the directory meets a need faced by most nonprofit organizations.

"Few needs are more important to a nonprofit organization than funding for operating costs," he said. "In this new directory, nonprofits seeking grants and funding opportunities to support general operating expenses will find more than 1,750 current operating grants, an increase of more than 200 over the fourth edition."

Three indices categorize the grant records by geography, program type and subject. Each record includes the grant title; amount of funding; description; requirements; application deadline; contact information, including phone number, fax, email and Internet address; sponsor name and address; and samples of awarded grants, when available.

The directory can be ordered directly from Schoolhouse Partners or purchased through Barnes & Noble bookstores, EBSCO Information Services, Ingram Books and YBP Library Services. The information also is available on GrantSelect, Schoolhouse Partners' subscription-based online database.
