Purdue Research Park affiliate launches site for business-to-business deals

MERRILLVILLE, Ind. - A Northwest Indiana entrepreneur has launched a national website for companies to purchase or promote business products and services such as search engine optimization consultation, logo and website design, human resources consultation and more at heavily discounted prices.
Maureen Wozniak, president of BtoBcity, has more than 25 years of experience in business-to-business sales. She launched BtoBcity.com to market products and services at large discounts through pay-for-performance advertising. The firm is an affiliate of the Purdue Research Park of Northwest Indiana.
"BtoBcity was created to decrease overhead costs for our members and increase our clients' sales," she said. "Clients provide their products and services at heavily discounted prices, sometimes up to 75 percent off retail value, for a limited time and at limited quantities. Clients include a business template developer, green certification organizations, payroll consultants and office supplies retailers."
Wozniak's primary goal is to assist startups, small established companies and nonprofit organizations in decreasing costs and growing business.
"Membership to BtoBcity is free so that all organizations have equal access to these deals and information," she said. "Even if a member takes advantage of only one deal over 12 months, the site still provides savings."
Wozniak said any business or nonprofit that has back-office needs can benefit from BtoBcity, which is one of only a handful of sites dedicated to those needs.
"What differentiates BtoBcity is how we host these limited offers and provide great content for small business owners to make good business decisions," she said. "Other sites give consumers only one day to decide about an offer, but clients on BtoBcity will have their products and services available for a week. We also provide clients and consumers a forum for questions and answers. And if the deal being offered is complex, we will host a webinar to introduce the merchant and its solutions in order to proactively answer questions about the deal being hosted."
Wozniak and her colleagues affiliated BtoBcity with the Purdue Research Park because of the resources provided.
"The more resources you can pull from, the better," she said. "When I spoke with Purdue Research Park officials, I knew their support and the community of businesses located there will be extremely important as I continue to grow BtoBcity."
BtoBcity members receive the ongoing offers and best practices for running and growing their small business via email. The deals are available for a limited amount of time and to a limited number of businesses. The savings allow businesses to invest in their people, facilities and operations without overextending their finances. The company extending the offer gains a determined number of clients, and immediate access to the revenue generated from BtoBcity.
