Duties / Responsibilities
MED Institute, Inc. is currently accepting applications for a Scientific Communications Scientist to become a part of our growing Regulatory & Science Communications team.
This function is responsible for providing scientific analysis for the development of scientific communications projects.
- Provide interpretation and analysis of scientific data pertinent to scientific communications projects;
- Fulfill responsibilities of authorship for scientific communications projects, when appropriate;
- Fulfill all responsibilities of the scientific writer function as outlined below: o Write or develop projects for Scientific Communications with consideration given to customer requirements;
- Provide project status to the Scientific Communications process manager regularly (e.g., via the tracking database and during Scientific Communication team meetings);
- Peer review Scientific Communications projects;
- Ensure that the request is entered into the tracking database; and
- Notify the Scientific Communications process manager immediately upon receiving project requests.
Requirements / Qualifications
- M.D. or Ph.D. in a scientific or engineering discipline or equivalent experience;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills;
- Experience with manuscript and research paper preparation;
- Experience with literature searches;
- Ability to work on multiple projects (multi-task);
- Ability to work within strict time constraints;
- Competence with Microsoft Office suite;
- Excellent people/ relational skills;
- Experience in statistical methods, analysis and interpretation; and
- Professional and personable demeanor in interactions.
